On Friday, July 14th, our CEO and Founder, Elisabetta Rotolo, conducted a Masterclass in Rome at Agorà: The professional Programme of Videocittà, following an invitation from MIA | International Audiovisual Market.
Videocittà is an innovative and dynamic platform that explores advanced forms of audiovisual and digital languages within the national and international cultural context. Each year, Agorà brings together experts and artists from the creative industry and top audiovisual, digital, and artistic professionals to discuss the latest innovations.
During the event, not only Masterclasses designed to broaden knowledge, but also intense sessions of networking with targeted appointments and a dedicated Expo area to discover the industry’s most cutting-edge projects and products.
Our CEO joined the platform with an insightful Masterclass about:“Entertainment & Arts: how new languages are changing thanks to emerging technologies and Web3”.
Elisabetta, as CEO, Founder, Creative & Executive Producer of MIAT, emphasised crucial issues for the future of our creative industries and how languages and productions are changing in the entertainment and arts sector with immersive, emerging technologies and the intersection with Web3 and the Metaverse. She highlighted the necessity of shaping new narratives and exploring innovative ways to tell stories, supporting her points with curated immersive international case studies.
Furthermore she described how the future trends of emerging technologies such as AI and AR, virtual production and their future as the next computing platform, will revolutionise content creation and production by increasing scalability, reducing costs and opening new creative possibilities.
Not only the need of new languages but also the need of new profiles able to shape them, talents that in MIAT we call ArTech, that combine artistic and technological skills, are the main resources on which Metaverse and narratives are being built.
The collaboration between MIAT & MIA | International Audiovisual Market on the theme of innovation for creative industries, is part of an experimental program line of the market aimed at promoting research projects and innovation programs of emerging technologies in the audiovisual and related industries (video games, immersive content, Blockchain and Web3, 5G and 6G, Virtual Production and VFX), through specific meetings that the MIA curates and organises before, during and after the ninth edition of the market, which will be held in Rome Oct. 9-13.
