Kostas Ordoumpozanis is an AI researcher and PhD candidate at the University of the Aegean, specializing in AI engineering, agentic systems, and human–AI collaboration, with a strong focus on applied AI. He is also completing a Master’s in Advanced Computer Informatics, concentrating on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience as a full-stack developer and entrepreneur, Kostas combines deep technical expertise with business insight. He has earned multiple awards in startup competitions and is actively involved in innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives. His work focuses on addressing real-world challenges by designing AI agents and intelligent systems that deliver tangible, measurable value, bridging the gap between research and practical application.

Since 2016, he has contributed to projects involving augmented reality, WebAR, interactive web systems, gamification, branding, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), computer vision, and prompt engineering. Professionally, he works as an AI engineer and trainer, developing end-to-end AI-driven products and systems.

Additionally, Kostas has over a decade of professional experience in photography as an award-winning portrait and storytelling photographer, with work featured in publications such as Marie Claire Greece. This creative background enhances his approach to technology, integrating visual storytelling, user experience, and innovation.

His teaching and mentoring experience further complements his interdisciplinary profile, enabling him to clearly communicate complex concepts and guide teams across both technical and creative domains.
