Elisabetta Rotolo is a creative visionary, executive producer, and strategist with international expertise in immersive arts, XR, AI, spatial computing, and virtual worlds. She is the Founder and CEO of MIAT – Multiverse Institute for Arts and Technology – the first creative and educational hub dedicated to immersive arts and emerging technologies.
At MIAT, Elisabetta has built a pioneering ecosystem that combines an Immersive Academy and a full-service Immersive Studio. The Academy trains the next generation of creators in immersive storytelling, AI-driven creativity, worldbuilding, and real-time interactive experiences. The Studio develops cutting-edge, research-based immersive and cinematic works using XR, photorealistic CGI, generative AI, motion capture, holography, and interactive worldbuilding.
Elisabetta served as Director, Creative and Executive Producer of Black Cats & Chequered Flags, MIAT’s groundbreaking immersive location-based experience. Recently presented in competition at Venice Immersive 2025, the mixed and virtual reality multiplayer work brings to life the extraordinary story of Alberto Ascari, Italy’s only two-time Formula 1 World Champion, with a worldwide tour beginning at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
She leads multidisciplinary teams of award-winning artists, scientists, immersive creators, technologists, and digital curators. Her portfolio includes cutting-edge immersive productions, the first digital artworks created for Bulgari High Jewelry, the inaugural international immersive exhibition at Le Théâtre des Lumières in Seoul, and top-tier training programs on XR storytelling, AI literacy, Generative AI, AI agentic systems, and immersive location-based experiences for artists, creators, and global corporations.
With over 20 years of global experience in brand strategy, innovation, and communication, she has held leadership roles with major institutions including the State of New York, Omnicom Group, Walt Disney, Mattel, Heinz, and the Olympic Games.
A sought-after keynote speaker, Elisabetta has spoken at leading events such as the Immersive Global Summit, Venice Biennale, AWE, Stereopsia, Artissima, Bocconi University, We Make Future, the International View Conference, AI Summit, VR Days, and more.
She is a contributor to Artribune, a board member of Euromersive, an advisor to Fondazione Cariplo for culture and innovation, and serves on the Ethical Board for AI and Emerging Technologies for the City of Turin.
Elisabetta holds a degree in Interior Architecture and an MBA from the University of Liverpool, where she was named Global Student of the Year in 2016–2017. She leads international training programs for creators, executives, and academics focused on ethical, human-centric applications of AI in the arts.
